I’m a filmmaker, editor, and colorist currently based in Germany. My creative practice explores the intersection of traditional art forms with contemporary performance.
I have made it part of my own practice to see how art, particularly in performance, can serve as both a reaction to and catalyst for cultural change. Art from previous eras of great cultural and social upheaval has always fascinated me, and I feel that exploring and re-interpreting these works offers us guidance from our collective past.
I am a music lover, and that love of music has played a central role in my work. My most expansive and ambitious project to date is my feature length film adaptation of Richard Wagner’s final drama, Parsifal. At present, this work is over seven years in the making and is the culmination of my experience of blending traditional form with contemporary practices.
I invite you to view some selected excerpts from this in progress film of Parsifal. Click here to be taken to that page.
I gladly welcome communications about my work and prospective collaborations. So, don't hesitate to reach me via my "Contact" page, which can be accessed here.
